Mission

There are three major issues we have focused on to help us recruit and mobilize young women into the Democratic Party: Communication, Connection and Outreach. Harnessing the Internet, we can develop and communicate a message that resonates with young women and spread that message wisely and frequently at no cost. The Young Democrats of America have identified a network of thousands of young Democratic women. By establishing a connection with these young women, on a state-by-state basis, we can increase the size and strength of YDA, and the Democratic Party. The end result is a new voting block for Democratic candidates. However, we must expand our efforts! To date, we have focused on existing Democratic organizations. The creation of a database of allied organizations and leaders will help us cultivate prospective YDA members and continually extend our message to a new audience.

Women and young people have been two of the most supportive voting demographics for the Democratic ticket in recent years. By recognizing and understanding this trend, the Young Democrats chapters across the nation have experienced tremendous growth and increasing interest over the past few years. With a crucial election year approaching and voter apathy increasing, there is no better time than now to combine our resources and maximize our efforts.
